The crystal pendulum is probaly the simplest spiritual tool. Dowsing is a natural and ancient human ability, possibly the oldest form of divination. The idea of water divining is probably as old as mankind. Dowsing is used today by therapists in many fields as well as water and oil companies throughout the world. It is a simple skill to learn and an easy way to select crystals for yourself and others even if you don’t know them well.

Hold your pendulum at the end of its chain and ask it a simple question to which you know the answer is yes, such as “am I a woman?” or “am I a man?”. The pendulum will move, perhaps in a clockwise or anticlockwise circle, backwards and forwards or side to side. This is your “yes” response. Then ask the opposite question and the pendulum will exhibit a different movement which will be your “no” response.

Things to be aware of...

• Phrase your question so the answer can be yes or no - pendulums don't like maybe and perhaps
• Pendulums only answer questions in the moment; so if you ask do I need "this" crystal now, your answer will always be right but if you ask will I meet my 20 friends for a reunion next year the answer you get will be what you and 20 friends intend to do NOW in a years time and NOT necessarily what will actually happen!
• If you treat your pendulum it will give you the answers you need. If you treat it as a game it will treat you as a game.
